Filter out chlorine, chemicals, bacteria, particles and heavy metals
Clean drinking water which is free from contaminants is extremely important for our health. The stainless steel undersink water filter is a complete undersink water filtration systems providing clean water for both drinking and cooking. The Ultracarb filter (see further information) removes chlorine, chemicals, bacteria, particles and heavy metals. It does not remove the beneficial trace elements or the calcium that are natural elements in the water and beneficial for strong bones and teeth.
The filter candle should be replaced every 6 months for 4 people and 9 months for 1 to 2 people. It comes with a stainless steel housing, an Ultracarb filter candle, a chrome tap, full fitting kit, instructions and guarantee. Can be installed DIY or by your plumber. The THH1S stainless steel unit is for people who do not want their water stored in plastic and offers a sturdy housing made of stainless steel. Filter housing measures 30x15x7.5cm.
With an extra housing for sediment or fluoride
In certain areas there may be specific problems that require an additional filter candle either to remove fluoride or to combat low pressure or high sediment levels in the water.
For areas of extra sediment or low water pressure - THH2SS
If you have low water pressure the addition of the pre-filter will help to reduce the loss of pressure as the water goes through the ceramic filter candle. The THH2SS has a standard Ultracarb ceramic filter (see further information) with a 5 micron pre-filter. The pre-filter will remove the particles and sediment from your water prior to it reaching the ceramic filter candle, thus prolonging its useful life. Measures 33x28x10cm.
For fluoride removal - THH2SF
Some water companies are now adding fluoride to the water supply. It can be harmful to bone strength and density and increases the absorption of heavy metals such as lead from the water pipes. The THH2SF has a standard Ultracarb ceramic filter candle (see further information) with a fluoride filter candle in the first housing to remove fluoride. Measures 33x28x10cm.
Discontinued items
If you have previously purchased a THH1000 or 2000 undersink water filter from The Healthy House the Ultracarb ceramic filter will fit it. If you had the THH2000 unit with 2 standard (A and B) filters we recommend using the pre-filter with the Ultracarb filter. Unfortunately the nitrate filter is no longer available.
