The palm-sized case features 10 coloured LED lights grouped into easy-to-read bands of green, yellow and red. Each LED has a measurement next to it: from 0.7 V/m (volts/metre) to 6.5 V/m.

This device can be used to check that microwave fields within the home are safe and that a mast or dish is not mistakenly transmitting through the living room. If you have a microwave oven it is important to measure the background fields so that you know the safe distance from the oven while it is operating.
